CeBIT 2012 and the question of trust in UC & C

Smarter Working and Managing Trust were the big topics at the convention in Hannover

Futurecom was once again present at the CeBIT summit for the 2012 edition, but this time in a new and exciting way. This year Futurecom Business Solutions joined forces with Plantronics as a part of the strategic partnership between the two market leading companies, to form a stand covering a wide range of UC & C solutions.

The keynote theme of this year’s summit was “Managing Trust”. Futurecom CEO Thomas Pind is happy about the broader focus on trust since it is at the core of Futurecom’s business model:

“We specialize in providing the organizational implementation of the technology and a key factor is making both leadership and employees comfortable with the solution. We ensure, that you get the features you need and that you know how to use them for your organization to go in the direction that you want it to. Through our partnerships with companies like Microsoft we also keep a close eye on the security threats posed by data sharing and the ways around them, so obviously the improved awareness of these factors is good news for us”

A chance to meet a fresh face in Futurecom

Once again Futurecom will attend Europe’s biggest UC event, Unified Communications Expo, which clusters UC manufacturers, experts and end users together for two days of UC frenzy. At the Expo you will have the opportunity to meet Futurecom’s latest arrival, Senior Consultant Jon Ellis, who will be glad to make your acquaintance. The addition of Jon Ellis to the organization will further strengthen Futurecom’s surge in the UK market and Jon is very optimistic about Futurecom’s opportunities:

Futurecom at UC Expo 2012

These are exciting times for UC & C in the UK. Focus is slowly shifting from the fixation on technology to realizing that positive change doesn’t happen by itself. I believe that we have every opportunity to achieve further growth in the UK market. Additionally, the UK market serves as a stepping stone to more global customers so all in all I’m very pleased with the prospects and happy to be onboard

Thomas Pind a knight of Plantronics UC Roundtable

Futurecom Business Solutions CEO Thomas Pind was invited to participate in Plantronics UC Roundtable on February 15th 2012

Futurecom at UC Plantronics Roundtable

Plantronics UC Roundtable is a string of events with presentations and panel discussions by key figures and companies in the development of the UC industry.

The theme of the Roundtable was "A Simply Smarter Office" exploring how UC & C solutions can create a more flexible and efficient workplace. Thomas Pind represented the Organizational Implementation angle on the issue, stressing that every solution demands a behavioural change on the part of the end users. If the change isn't treated with the necessary care the project will definitely fail, which led Thomas Pind to the statement that "IT projects are not about technology".

The panel for this event was:

Philip Vanhoutte Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Plantronics
Thomas V. Pind CEO, Futurecom Business Solutions A/S
Falk Rühl IT Management Technologie und Infrastruktur, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V.
Rajesh Vanniamparampil Technology Solution Professional, Microsoft Deutschland
